This week I read a lot about search engines and how to incorporate them in my web page. I found that optimizing images using the 9 slice tool isn’t as ahrd as I thought it would be. It is very useful and you can easily make your image size a lot smaller using this.
Week 10
This week I learned a lot about the way the navigation toolbars should be in our website design. It shold be easy to access and very readable. It should also be consistant on every page.
Week 9
Web fonts was a big discussion this week. Font stacks are for browser flexibility. serif and sans-serif are exceptible fonts for body text on a page.
Week 8
This week I learned a lot about good and bad websites and how to avoid creating a bad one. I also learbed that your links should always be underlined.

Week 7
Animation was the key term this week. Animations are used with GIF and SWF. GIF is the most known use because it is simple and well standard, no additional software is required and many other reasons.
Week 6
Banners are interesting and can be fun to work with. I learned a lot about them and how to create them. Alao, I learned how to create a tiling background. Banners aren’t only used for advertising, they are also ussed for social networks or just for animation on a webpage.
Final Project Proposals
Name: Pasadena Scrap and Salvage
My dad and uncle own the business. I would gain information and photos because I can go there whenever I want and ask them any questions I need without any hassle. I really want to do this for them because they just started this business not that long ago and they don’t have a website. They want the word out about their business and I think this will help them.
Name: Maryland SPCA
I am not affiliated with them right now. I can visit there and talk to someone about creating the website and see if I can get the information and photos I need.

Week 5
I have never used the application “Fireworks” before, so I learned a lot about it. Layers is an important part while using fireworks. You can manage them in many ways. It helps you keep organized while creating something.
Guides help you divide up your image and they are invisible.
Web layer is automatically created by fireworks. It doesn’t appear in the lsitings of layers and it is also not editable through the layer window.
Banners was also a big discussion. They can be used for advertising and in social networks. They usually reflect the theme of the website and are creative. They can also be annimated.
